I am a musical storyteller and composer of chamber, vocal, and electronic works. My work explores a myriad of emotional and stylistic affects to meditate on and grapple with the spirituality of nature and human experience. Deeply influenced by Gregorian chant, my music often seeks rhythmic fluidity and simple lyricism within conflicting harmonic or textural contexts. A frequent collaborator, I enjoy crafting pieces which reflect the musical personality of the musicians and finding unusual projects that challenge my creativity. I often incorporate extra-musical elements into my work, such as text, visual art, and electronics to explore additional layers of associations and meaning.
